Stephen D. Beam graduated from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He is a sole practitioner In Weatherford with a general practice focused on litigation. Mr. Beam served the Oklahoma Bar Association as Vice President in 2003 and as President in 2007. He was a member of the Board of Editors of the Oklahoma Bar Journal and the Professional Responsibility Tribunal. He served on the Professional Responsibility Commission and was chair in 2015. Mr. Beam received the Golden Gavel Award twice and the President's Award three times. He served on the Judicial Nominating Commission from 2009 - 2015 and was chair in 2015. He was named Solo Lawyer of the Year in 2003. He received the OBA Joe Stamper Award in 2015 for distinguished service to the profession. Mr. Beam is a frequent speaker and author on topics affecting solo and small firm lawyers.
